Program Overview
The Practical Nursing Certificate program provides students with the essential knowledge and skills to become licensed practical nurses (LPNs). The program covers core nursing concepts, including patient care, basic medical procedures, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and nursing ethics. Students receive both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience, where they learn to perform tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient hygiene and comfort. The program prepares students to work in a variety of healthcare settings, such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam and begin their careers as licensed practical nurses, delivering compassionate care under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors.

Admission Details
The LPN program is offered in Alexander City, Childersburg, Prattville and Talladega. It admits for spring and fall each year, with the exception of Talladega which only admits for summer.
Deadlines: The deadline to apply for spring is September 15 and the deadline to apply for fall is February 1. The deadline to apply for summer (Talladega only) is Feb 1.
Prereqs: The courses listed in bold print on the program flyer are the classes required to complete the programs. 麻豆破解传媒 Nursing does not require that they all be completed before applying to nursing, but the more a student has completed of these courses, the stronger nursing candidate they will be when they do apply to nursing. Preference is given to students who have completed BIO 201 and BIO 202.

Testing: 麻豆破解传媒 Nursing requires either a minimum ACT score of 18 or a minimum TEAS score 58. All scores must be sent officially.
- ACT: Testing information can be found online at the ACT website. 麻豆破解传媒’s ACT code is 0001.
- TEAS: to get to the TEAS test info. You can sign up for any day that is available and take the assessment from home with remote proctoring done by ATI. 麻豆破解传媒's TEAS code is “Central AL CC ADN”.
